VR and AR StecakLand applications have been promoted on 20th June in the gallery of Kamerni Theater 55. Project coordinator Selma Rizvic, VR director Bojan Mijatovic, and StecakLand theater play scenario writer Vedran Fajkovic introduced the media to the content of these applications. The Virtual Reality application takes users on a walk through StećakLand. There, the stonemason Grubač, Queen Katarina, the Hunter, the Deer, the Wheel, and the Lion-Dragon await us. They tell us stories in three villages. Other symbols fly, crawl and walk around us, the meanings of which we can discover if we click on them. We collect ornaments that light up, and the Flying Donkey helps us with this. Finally, we reach the Temple where we can design our own stećak.
The application will be installed in the House of Mak Dizdar in Stolac, the Dubrovnik Museums, the National Museum of Montenegro in Cetinje, and the National Museum of Užice in Serbia.
The Augmented Reality application works at the necropolises of Radimlja in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brotnica in Croatia, Mramorje in Serbia, and in the park in Pljevlja in Montenegro. On the screens of our mobile devices, the ornaments will be separated from the selected stećaks, and their meanings will be displayed.
The application will be available on the Play Store and App Store.
